Frequently Asked Questions

1.

Do you work on above-ground pools? (Liner installation, fixing problems, etc.)

No, unfortunately we only service and work on inground pools.  We used to install and work on them, but due to the growing client list, we had to make the move to only doing inground.

2.

Do you work on hot tubs?

Yes, if the hot tub was purchased from us, at JV Pools, we will service it.  That also means if you purchased a used tub that was purchased from us by the original owner, we will service it.  If you have a hot tub that was purchased elsewhere, we do not.  You would need to contact the place you got it from.

3.

Will you service my pool that was built by a different contractor?

Unfortunately, we do not service (open, close, work on) pools that were not built by JV Pools.  However, after an approved assessment of a pool NOT built by JV Pools, we can and will install liners in your inground pool.

4.

I purchased a home with an inground pool that was built by you.  Will you work on and service my pool?

Yes.  If the pool was built by us at any point in time, for any owner, yes, we will take care of the pool for you.  This means all aspects of servicing, such as opening, closing, fixing problems, liner replacement, etc.

5.

How much does an inground pool cost?

This answer has a lot of variables that go into it.  The price would be dependent on size, shape, equipment, and additional features chosen for each individual pool.   No matter these answers however, you can expect to spend, AT A MINIMUM, $80,000.

6.

Why should I buy the liquid shock from you at a higher price instead of the lower price at big box stores?

The shock that we sell is 12.5% Sodium Hypochlorite.  A big box store's is only 10%.  While that may not seem like a lot, our shock also comes straight from the factory, whereas the big box stores shelf life is unknown.  Shock loses its strength as it sits on a shelf.  You can feel confident and reassured that you are getting strong, potent chlorine when purchasing from your local pool store.
